The Top 10 Reasons for Non-Pilots to Attend EAA AirVenture Oshkosh

Air Shows & Night Airshows

The daily air show, a highlight of AirVenture week, features world-class aerobatics and fascinating insights into aviation history and the latest innovations during its four-hour spectacle. While you can enjoy the show from various spots around the grounds, the best views are near the flightline by the iconic Brown Arch for an up-close experience.

Additionally, the night air show, held on Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m., dazzles with aerobatics, an incredible light show put on by drones, and a breathtaking fireworks display.



Twilight Talks With Aviation Icons
Theater in the Woods offers a relaxed and engaging atmosphere, perfect for winding down after a busy day on the grounds. Our lineup features notable speakers delivering presentations on NASA missions, military history, future innovations, air racing, and much more.

Fly-In Theater
Every year, visitors flock to the Fly-In Theater to enjoy movies under the stars. With entertaining and informative introductions and a lineup of everything from classics like Top Gun and The Great Waldo Pepper to documentaries and the latest aviation blockbusters, it's a great way to spend an evening.

Seaplane Base
If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of the grounds, hop on a bus at the Bus Park Tower and take a ride down to paradise at the Seaplane Base and check out the aircraft that fly and float!

You can even take a free boat tour of the lagoon in Lake Winnebago.



Aircraft Rides
Experience the World's Greatest Aviation Celebration from a bird's-eye view. At EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, you'll find numerous opportunities to take flights on our Ford Tri-Motor, B-25 Berlin Express, and Bell 47 helicopters.

Fly in TheatreBoeing Plaza
Boeing Plaza showcases the largest aircraft on display, including the Samaritan's Purse DC-8, highlighting this year's theme of Public Benefit Flying. Surrounding the plaza, you'll find the main outdoor exhibit area, home to most of the 800-plus exhibitors who travel from around the world to show off their latest aircraft, avionics, and more.

EAA Aviation Museum

The EAA Aviation Museum offers a captivating journey through aviation history, showcasing vintage aircraft, military memorabilia, and innovative experimental airplanes.

With interactive exhibits and activities for all ages, it's a must-visit destination for anyone curious about the world of aviation.



KidVenture
If you have children, KidVenture is the place for your family! It's a great way to introduce kids to the fun world of aviation through games, hands-on experiences, STEM activities, flight simulations, and so much more.
